Shipping and Returns
Shipping
Unless noted as out of stock or pre-order, orders are processed within 1-3 business days (if volume of material needed is in stock).
Expect 5-7 (or less) business days for shipping standard ground, non-freight orders within the U.S. Shipping lead time on custom orders may vary.
Shipping is calculated at checkout.
When shipping orders via truck freight, the customer needs to be prepared for delivery. Freight companies do charge service fees for deliveries taking longer than 15 minutes to offload. Any additional shipping fees associated with delayed delivery times or storage, etc., are at the customer's expense, as DakotaTin will not cover those additional fees.
Please be advised: In the event of severe weather or other uncontrollable circumstances, shipping could be delayed. DakotaTin is not able to guarantee delivery dates on shipments.
Shipping Fees
For Edging, Wainscoting & Tiles:
Orders with 3 or more pieces shipped within the continental US - free (ground shipping)
Order with 1-2 pieces shipped within the continental US - $12.49 (ground shipping)
For orders with J-track or Trim pieces (which require an oversized box due to length):
Shipped within the continental US - $35.00 (ground shipping)
For orders with custom pieces or large panels:
Shipping will be quoted.
Returned Shipments
Dakota Tin has a 30-day return policy on all products from the original purchase date. All returns must include original proof of purchase with a Return Authorization (RA). Dakota Tin does not cover the shipping cost on returned product. All returned merchandise must be sent pre-paid and insured. Any returns sent COD will not be accepted. All returned items are subject to a 15% restocking fee.
No merchandise shall be returned to us without a Return Authorization (RA) number issued by us. You can obtain an RA number by contacting Dakota Tin warranty department by email at info@DakotaTin.com.
If returning a product, it must be returned in the same condition it was received in. If upon inspection we find the merchandise to be in good and unused condition, we will issue a credit or refund.

Samples and custom pieces are non-refundable/non-returnable.
Refused Orders
Refused orders are subject to a 15% restocking charge and all freight charges paid by the customer.
Limited Lifetime Warranty
Dakota Tin warrants that all new, unused products are free from defects in material and workmanship. This warranty is effective if the product is properly installed and used for the purpose intended for the life of the product. It applies to the original buyer only. The warranty excludes corrosion and rust.
Dakota Tin's obligation under this warranty is limited to repairing, or at its option, replacing any part that is returned, transportation prepaid, to Dakota Tin, Yankton, South Dakota, if the product is, in our judgment, defective. All materials must be accompanied by an RMA (Returned Material Authorization) number requested by and authorized in advance of returning the materials. Dakota TIn shall not be liable or responsible to supply or pay labor to replace any part found defective, nor shall it be liable for any damages of any kind or nature to person, product, or property.
There are no warranties for used products or products that have been repaired, altered, modified, subjected to misuse, negligence, accident or ordinary wear and tear.
Dakota Tin products are sold without any other express warranty nor are the products sold with any implied warranties, including any warranties of merchantability or fitness for particular purpose. Other than the express warranty described above, Dakota Tin is not liable for any other damages, whether direct, incidental or consequential. Any disputes concerning these warranty provisions shall be governed by South Dakota law and resolved in the Circuit Court for Yankton County, South Dakota.

Proof of purchase to original purchaser must be provided Dakota Tin along with merchandise in question. Upon inspection of the merchandise and at our discretion, if found to be defective by Dakota Tin, Dakota Tin will credit or refund to you the amount of the merchandise. Refunds only apply during the 30 day return policy. No freight charges will be reimbursed.
Freight Claims
All freight shipped from Dakota Tin is carefully packaged before shipping. We know shipping damage can occur - if this unfortunately happens to you, please get ahold of us within 3 days of delivery and we will do our best to correct the issue. Photos of the damaged shipment (showing both merchandise and packaging damages) will be required for claims to be filed. Please remit those photos to: info@dakotatin.com.
Any damage or shortages due to shipping must be reported to Dakota Tin within 3 days of receiving by email at info@DakotaTin.com. We kindly ask to send over photos of both the material damage and box damage to help the claims process proceed as quickly as possible. This will also allow us to get new material out to you as quickly as possible. DO NOT discard the damaged material as the delivery company may retrieve the package (product and entire packaging) for claims investigation inspection purposes.
Back Orders
Back orders will be filled as quickly as possible in the order of which they were received. If there should be any reason for you to cancel your back order, please let us know as soon as possible.
International Orders
